The exhibition THE FALL OF THE STARS explored apocalyptic visions of the end of the world by combining Julian Rosefeldt's 'In the Land of Drought' with Albrecht Dürer's 'Apocalypse'. Rosefeldt's video installation depicted a post-apocalyptic future resulting from resource exploitation, while Dürer's 15th-century woodcuts illustrated biblical prophecies. Both works shared the concept of a new beginning after an apparent end. Visitors were invited to explore the tension between creation, destruction and renewal, and to discover different visions of the future.
As part of the multimedia presentation of the exhibitions, we developed music stations that presented specially curated pieces of music related to the exhibition theme. The aim was to create an acoustic sensitivity to the overarching theme of "apocalyptic visions of the end of the world" and to enable visitors to form a more lasting and intense connection with the works on display.
