The exhibition THE ART OF REPLICATION explored the value and significance of works of art and their reproduction. It featured plaster casts, copies of paintings, prints and architectural models from the 19th century. The exhibition examined works such as the Venus de Milo and Raphael's Sistine Madonna to question originality and authorship. The Lindenau Museum in Altenburg was the main lender, contributing its impressive collection.
Working closely with the curators, we created compelling stories in web format for three outstanding works of art. These stories were presented to museum visitors at dedicated media stations. This innovative approach allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the works and explore the multifaceted aspects of the exhibition in an engaging and accessible way. The web-format storytelling enabled a deeper connection with the artworks, providing visitors with a richer understanding of their significance and history.
We added video testimonials from staff at the Lindenau Museum Altenburg. These videos created a highly personal experience for visitors as the staff shared their individual perspectives, passions and stories that went beyond mere presentation. This approach allowed visitors to make a deeper and more authentic connection with the works on display.
The stories told by the museum staff not only provided a deep insight into the background of the exhibits, but also a behind-the-scenes look at the museum and the curatorial process. This unique approach took visitors on a personal journey beyond simply viewing the artworks, creating a multi-faceted and enriching experience.
