The exhibition THE STATE OF AFFAIRS? at the Draiflessen Collection invited visitors to explore a range of topics, from sustainable resource use to diversity. The exhibition was inspired by the SDGs – Sustainable Development Goals – and the museum's context, and it encouraged people to think about their individual responsibility and the global connections we all have.
We created various multimedia formats to make the exhibition themes come alive. One of the exhibition's highlights was a video installation based on Jacques Callot's series, which focused on details of the Thirty Years' War. Additionally, there was an interactive media station called "KunstContainer" which provided an inclusive educational experience, supported by targeted content on screens.
This resulted in a great video installation based on Jacques Callot's twelve-part graphic series, which depicted the terrible events of the Thirty Years' War. Visitors immersed themselves in the graphic details, which helps them connect with the themes being shown. The way the motifs were split across multiple monitors gave visitors a fresh perspective and encouraged them to fully engage with the themes of "War and Peace." There was also an audio guide with captions in three languages.
Visitors could explore the "KunstContainer" project at their own pace, giving everyone the chance to enjoy an inclusive cultural educational experience. Moreover, some extra screens with targeted content rounded off the exhibition's overall picture.
